Kanji system or reading environment?

These tools can complement each other, but neither is a complete all-skills Japanese course.

Choose the next bottleneck

If character recognition stops progress, prioritise a kanji system. If the learner recognises many words but cannot follow sentences and paragraphs, supported connected text is the more direct intervention.
