The live checkout is the price source

LingoPie's numeric offers depend on region, channel and account eligibility. The current help centre establishes plan structure but does not provide one stable global price. Record the offer actually presented at checkout instead of relying on an expired landing-page variant.

Write down currency, tax, total charge, included languages and the next payment date. Divide a prepaid charge by its covered months only to compare it with another term; that monthly equivalent is not the amount charged today.

Confirm trial eligibility before testing one real show

The plan overview describes eligible web and US iOS card trials and excludes the monthly mobile plan. The dedicated trial guide also describes US Android yearly card trials, but excludes Apple App Store and Google Play payments. These pages do not describe mobile eligibility identically: check the offer for your plan, country and payment channel rather than assuming every download includes seven free days.

Record the trial end, first full charge and cancellation route before entering payment details. The trial guide says an eligible trial converts automatically unless cancelled. A temporary card-verification charge is different from the subscription payment; the bank controls reversal timing, so do not assume an exact release date.

Run an active task: watch for meaning, use subtitles or replay selectively and give a short response afterwards. Streaming time without comprehension or recall does not establish paid value.

Which plan changes language access?

The current plan help page distinguishes monthly mobile and quarterly access to one language from yearly and lifetime access to all offered languages. Family access has separate pricing and activation conditions. Confirm the exact account offer before assuming every duration includes the same access.

Single-language access can be enough for a focused learner. Multi-language access matters only when several suitable catalogues will receive real time. Compare one person using one language with another person using the same scope; otherwise a monthly-equivalent comparison hides a different product.

Annual versus lifetime is a durability question

Divide the actual lifetime quote by the comparable annual quote to estimate a simple break-even in years. For example, if a hypothetical lifetime quote is three times an annual quote, it takes three unchanged annual payments to match it. This is an assumption-based comparison, not an available offer or prediction of future use.

An annual commitment is easier to justify after a successful trial. A lifetime purchase needs stronger evidence: the video-led method still works, the relevant catalogue has depth and the learner expects a multi-year recurring job for it.

Know the refund boundary before conversion

Stopping renewal is not the same as getting money back. LingoPie's cancellation guide generally excludes refunds for unused time and describes billing-error exceptions. Its 14-day deadline for requesting a direct-payment refund is not a blanket 14-day money-back guarantee. Check the applicable conditions with the original billing provider; no refund approval is promised here.

For a billing dispute, keep the receipt, charge date and cancellation confirmation. Send account or payment details only through the billing provider's official support route, not to Language Choice Lab. We did not purchase, cancel or request a refund to prepare this guide.

Find the cancellation route from the receipt

The device used for watching does not identify who bills you. Use the receipt to find the purchase channel, then finish cancellation there and save its confirmation. Deleting an app is not a subscription-management step; Google Play explicitly warns that uninstalling does not cancel billing.

• Direct card subscription: Lingopie Settings → Account → Plan → Update Membership → Cancel Subscription, following the final confirmation steps.
• Apple-billed subscription: use Apple Subscriptions for the Apple Account on the receipt. On iPhone, start in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• Google Play purchase: select the subscription in the purchasing Google Account and complete Cancel subscription.
• PayPal purchase: follow Lingopie's linked PayPal automatic-payment instructions for the relevant merchant agreement.

Check for a second recurring commitment

The official billing guide lists recurring private-lesson and group-lesson plans separately from the main viewing plan. The cancellation guide says additional subscriptions need separate cancellation. If you bought lessons too, check each renewal entry rather than assuming one cancellation stops all charges.

Lifetime access has no recurring main-plan renewal to stop, but that does not make separately purchased services free. For a paid recurring plan, Lingopie says cancellation normally leaves access through the current billing period. Check the account's displayed end date rather than interpreting continued access as evidence that cancellation failed.

When no LingoPie plan is the right answer

Choose neither plan if the exact catalogue is too small, subtitles replace listening entirely or a structured beginner sequence is the real need. Free public video or an input tool based on imported material may solve a content gap with less commitment.

Price comes after method and catalogue fit. A lifetime label is not a reason to buy a workflow that has not earned regular time in the week.

Check the routine before choosing a longer term

Use realistic weekly listening time to assess whether the viewing habit earns a recurring budget. If preparing text and audio would fit better than video, compare the methods before switching subscriptions. Neither check requires a purchase.
